Subverting the pink universe: "BARBIE"

We created the core promotional poster for the live-action film "BARBIE." Drawing inspiration from the legendary cultural iconography of "Barbie," we deconstructed and reimagined its aesthetic with a subversive visual language, transforming the iconic pink into a grand adventure about the collision of self-perception and reality, accurately foreshadowing this year's phenomenon, full of humor and profound meaning.

We abandoned the soft, sweet pink in favor of a highly saturated "fluorescent pink" as a visual bombshell, instantly capturing the eye. Incorporating a retro-futuristic aesthetic drawn from 1980s pop culture, we created a unique quality that's both familiar and surreal, perfectly echoing the film's unique tone of both nostalgia and modernity.

Using this core poster as a blueprint, we developed a comprehensive visual identity system. From social media dynamics to theater signage, the intense pink, custom fonts, and dramatic composition served as the cornerstones, ensuring a unified and instantly recognizable campaign.
